ProMarker – The Laser with a Printer Driver
The new high-speed laser was launched at the Paperworld 2011.
Wels, 2011-03-14. The new product of the Upper Austrian laser manufacturer Trotec makes laser marking as easy as using an office printer. The ProMarker is the first laser in its class with an integrated printer driver. Thus it provides a unique benefit: The user can start each marking process directly from the graphic program with just a single click. This minimizes the amount of preparation work and saves valuable time for the user. Additionally the integrated Galvo laser system reduces the processing time by up to 80%. With the ProMarker Trotec again proves its innovative spirit and customer orientation.
Up to 80% reduced processing times
The ProMarker is equipped with a sophisticated laser technology: High performance steering mirrors – so called Galvos – direct the laser beam onto the marking area. This system provides a marking speed of up to 640 characters per second. Consequently savings of up to 80% of the processing time can be achieved. Another highlight: The ProMarker has been specifically developed and tested for industrial use. In addition to the maintenance-free laser source and the integrated air cooling the ProMarker ensures minimal operating and maintenance costs for maximum productivity. More information at

Positive visitor feedback at the Paperworld
From Jan. 27th to Feb. 1st Trotec presented the ProMarker at the Paperworld to industry and trade experts. Product Manager Georg Ernst, who is in charge of the ProMarker, commented the event: „The easy handling of the ProMarker and the huge time saving during the marking process really impressed the visitors. The printer driver is what makes the ProMarker so unique.“
Customizable Equipment
The ProMarker is available with a laser power of 10 or 20 watt. Additional lenses for different marking field sizes can be purchased as options. Trotec offers a laser pointer and a z-axis for easy positioning and focusing of the laser on customer request as further upgrades.
