CONEXPO Show in Las Vegas: BOMAG informs on its highlights

Construction equipment manufacturer BOMAG informs on its highlights at the 2011 CONEXPO Show in Las Vegas on a special website ( http://www.bomag.com/conexpo ). Apart from short product introductions and a selection of photos the website offers downloads such as data sheets and leaflets as well as a floor plan and a contact sheet. The products highlights featured on the website are the light tandem roller BW 900-50, the multipurpose compactor BMP 8500, the milling machine BM 1300/30-2 as well as the intelligent compaction solution ASPHALT MANAGER II.

Highlights in Las Vegas
The BW 900-50, the new concept for a for a 1-1.5 ton ride on roller is powered with the latest HONDA GX630 gasoline engine. With a working width of 35.4 in (900 mm) and an overall width of 37.8 in (961 mm) the machine is flexible for both small compaction applications and larger commercial jobsites. A compact design allows the user full operation advantages in restricted areas with tight space clearances.
Powerful front drum vibration delivers 3395 lbs (15,1 kN), 4200 vpm (70 Hz) and 0.020 in (0,5 mm) amplitude to ensure the required compaction is met for asphalt as well as sub-base materials. The water system is very efficient utilizing the large capacity water tank and the pressurized water sprinklers. Safety features include an emergency stop button and versatile lifting and tie down points
The company has equally released the ASPHALT MANAGER II as it“s next generation Intelligent Compaction solution. This quality control tool for heavy tandem rollers determines drum energy vectors and displays the EVIB stiffness value in real time. Smoothness and density targets are realized via manual and automatic modes while minimizing passes and preventing crushing of the aggregate. A simple menu guide on the BOMAG operating panel provides easy and efficient control for the operator.
The new BM 1300/30-2 Center Rotor Milling Machine is the recent addition to BOMAG“s milling machine family in the US. Featuring an increased water capacity of 25%, the 1300/30-2 requires fewer refills than past models. Hydraulically controlled side plates efficiently reduce material build up. An optimized drive geometry and extended crawler track columns assist with easy maneuverability and stability. New instrument panel controls mirror the BOMAG milling family layout.
Design-award winning BMP 8500, the articulated Multi Purpose Compactor with a Kubota diesel engine, is another star at CONEXPO. It“s ECOMODE feature ensures efficient engine speed control and optimum fuel usage. High compaction output is achieved from dual exciters and the directed centrifugal forces. Dual amplitude choices provide performance on a variety of material applications. The standard radio remote control and safety system provide flexibility and protection for the operator.

BOMAG is the world market leader in the field of Compaction Technology and manufactures a wide range of compaction equipment for soil, asphalt and refuse, together with stabilizers/recyclers, planers and finishers.
