Two high tech shows under one roof: Preview event for AIRTEC and Euromold 2016 with high-level presentations

Munich/Frankfurt, August 8, 2016. Under the motto „Two high tech shows – One high tech venue“, the leading high tech shows AIRTEC and Euromold will hold a preview event with highly recognized speakers in the Press Center West of the Exhibition Center Munich, Germany, on August 31, 2016.

The CEO of the trade fair organizer airtec GmbH & Co. KG, Diana Schnabel, will open the event and give first insights on this year“s show highlights. The Exhibition Center Munich will be represented by Mrs. Monika Dech, Deputy Managing Director, who will give a welcome speech on both shows. At this exciting preview event, especially, numerous synergy effects between Euromold, the international exhibition for modern product development, tool-, mold-, and model-making, and additive manufacturing, and the international aerospace supply fair AIRTEC with B2B meetings and conferences will be outlined. Both will take place under one roof, the Exhibition Center Munich. Enterprises from different industries will meet at both shows and exchange the latest state of art as well as build valuable business relationships. For example companies involved in mold- and model-making, which are traditionally, strongly represented at Euromold, meet manufacturers and suppliers of the entire aerospace industry through parallel running AIRTEC 2016. Suppliers who exhibit at AIRTEC 2016 benefit from the visitors from all relevant industries of Euromold 2016.

Also the field „Additive Manufacturing/3D printing technologies“ will play a central role at both shows. In the frame of the press conference, Nikolai Zäpernick, Head of Strategy and Business Development of the world“s leading company in quality and technology EOS, will present on the future of 3D printing in aerospace. David Stevenson, Product Manager of ExOne, will speak about special 3D sand printing processes for industrial serial production. The field of model- and mold-making as well as CAD/CAM will be represented by the long years“ exhibitor and advisory board member of Euromold, Marketing Manager of Federal Association of the craftsmanship of model-making, Helmut Brandl, and CEO of Schott GmbH, Joachim Schott.

Furthermore, the synergy between aerospace and automotive industry and the significance of composites for the aerospace industry will be subject of this event. Highly recognized representatives from Airbus Defence & Space, OHB Germany“s first listed technology and space company as well as MHP Mieschke Hofmann und Partner, a Porsche Company, belong to the selective speakers.

Dr. Johann Schachtner, Head of Department Foreign Trade and Location Marketing Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, will speak about the high tech region Bavaria. Moreover, Dr. Hilmar Apman, Head of Technology Development of the world“s leading supplier for aerostructures Premium Aerotec, will explain key manufacturing trends in aerospace technology.

The preview event for exhibitors, potential exhibitors and the international press will take place on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 14.30 h – 18.30 h, Press Center West, Exhibition Center Munich, Germany.
