KS ArcTec: Arc welding at the highest level

Augsburg / Stuttgart, May 2011 – KUKA Systems is represented once again at the international trade fair for sheetmetal working. Among other exhibits at the integrated Schweisstec trade fair, the Augsburg based system builder is presenting the KUKA developed function package for arc welding, KS ArcTec.

Arc welding cells made by KUKA are used not only for conventional steel/steel joints, but also for demanding welding tasks, such as aluminum joints, galvanized panels and applications featuring joints with gaps – with uncompromising process quality. The Augsburg based hightech company has played a major role in the development of arc welding with industrial robots. KS ArcTec is already the fifth generation of high quality solutions from KUKA Systems. 25 years of experience culminate in the KS ArcTec application with optimal process reliability, utmost system availability and flexibility.
Fast reorientation and vigorous motion of the dress package are no problem. Four driven wheels ensure stable and uniform wire feed. Highly dynamic control of the wire speed by means of decentralized drive technology allows extremely fast reaction to parameter changes and ensures optimum arc striking characteristics.
