Munich, 20.09.2012 – At the EuroBLECH 2012 trade fair in Hanover, the German company Blech-Tec (http://www.blech-tec.de/index_en.html) is presenting a revised model of the BT-150 Mini Swivel Bending Machine.

This extremely compact bending machine makes it possible to fabricate very small bent components easily and quickly – from single parts to pilot series to series in the low thousands. No special tools are required. If you are interested in the BT-150, you can see it in action from 23 to 27 October 2012 at the EuroBLECH trade fair and consult the manufacturer for more information (hall 12, exhibition stand A18).

The mini swivel bending machine is suitable for bending small parts such as springs, covers, contacts, brackets or housings for tool making, the electronics industry, thin sheet metal processing and many other applications.

Advantages of the BT-150 include high precision and repeat accuracy, so that even the most delicate components can be produced very quickly. The stop accuracy is 0.01 mm and the angular accuracy is 0.1 degrees. Sheet metal with a thickness of 0.05 to 1.0 mm can be processed.

Operation of the CNC-controlled machine was purposefully kept simple, so that no specialised preliminary knowledge is required. The internal programme memory stores up to 100 programmes with 25 process steps each. Unlimited memory expansion is possible via a USB interface.

Thanks to its small dimensions, quiet operation and low power consumption, the machine which is fabricated entirely in Germany can even be used directly in an office. Only a standard outlet is required for operation. Safety is assured thanks to two-handed operation. Sectioned tool sets are available.

„We developed the BT-150 because the machines currently available on the market are relatively large, and are not able to bend such small and precise components,“ explains Ralf Beger, General Manager of Blech-Tec. „In the past, special tooling had to be fabricated for each bend and only this one bend was fabricated on manual machines with that tooling. Now the part is bent in a single process, without the elaborate and expensive fabrication of tools and with no setup between the individual bends. Angle and length changes can be realised within seconds. This saves a lot of time and money, so that even very small quantities become profitable. The purchase price of this small bending machine is amortised after just a few orders.“

Dimensions:

About Blech-Tec:
Blech-Tec e.K. was founded in 2003 and became a GmbH (limited company) in 2012. As a specialist for the fabrication of single components, series and assemblies made of thin sheet metal and film with thicknesses from 0.05 to 4 millimetres, the company initially focused on job order production. After developing the BT-150, Blech-Tec quickly established itself as a machine manufacturer. Here the focus is not on the mass production of large series, but on the precision fabrication of complex parts with extremely high accuracy. The company headquarters are in Sauerlach near Munich.
